Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Supervisory Management Analyst, you will use your knowledge of and experience with the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) to optimize business results and customer experience by:
Providing administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work assigned.
Assigning work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirement of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
Analyzing and evaluating the management practices and methods, and administrative operations of substantive organizations and complex functions.
Providing analysis and evaluation of work processes and policies, management practices and work operations taking into full consideration complex legislative, programmatic and management issues and problems.
Reviewing and evaluating complex managerial policies and procedures to determine gaps where additional guidance is needed and analyzes the impact of new or proposed legislation on agency operations.
Compiling data and preparing complex administrative and management reports, and oral reports to senior management based on data emanating that emanate from the Department or higher echelons in the agency.
Formulating and recommending additional policies and procedures or modifications to existing guidance to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of managerial operations.
Providing oral reports to senior managers and program officials advising them on policies and procedures including actions to be taken to accomplish work in accordance with established requirements.
Providing comprehensive oral and written reports of findings and recommendations considering such factors as actual accomplishments versus established goals, adequacy of existing versus new programs, and costs incurred in the conduct of the program.
Identifying and analyzing issues, problems, and challenges facing the organization and formulating and evaluating possible courses of action for resolving them.
Designing and conducting time sensitive analytical evaluative studies of administrative management systems, work simplification, resource utilization, and decision-making studies.
Conducting data gathering using techniques such as quantitative analysis, surveys, interviews, research, etc., to justify proposals to develop implementation plans with milestones, timetables, audit trails, and evaluation procedures.

Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications:
You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing at least three (3) of the following:
1. Assessing the effectiveness of administration and management programs to determine where policy or project changes are needed.
2. Using qualitative and quantitative methods (e.g. data analysis, surveys, interviews, and/or research) to assess progress toward organizational goals and objectives.
3. Leading projects or teams to analyze administrative programs for effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity.
4. Providing recommendations concerning plans and proposals for administration programs including but not limited to: administration, resource
management, new business identification, operation/policy logistics, information management, budget, finance and quality assurance.
