You will serve as a Motor Vehicle Operator in the Assistant Chief of Staff, Logistics of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.

Duties

You will operate buses and other assigned vehicles. You will transport passengers and associated baggage or cargo. You will load and unload passengers, baggage, and cargo. You will complete trip tickets and accident reports (if needed). You will perform operator level maintenance on assigned vehicles. You will perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections and report identified issues.

Requirements

• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

• You must possess and maintain a Class "B" (or higher) CDL with Passenger (P) endorsement, A copy of your CDL should be provided with your application.
• You must obtain a U.S. Government Vehicle Operator's Permit for all assigned vehicles and equipment.
• You must complete all assigned training and obtain and maintain all required certifications.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random drug testing.
• You must be able to distinguish colors and shades of colors.
• You must pass pre-employment physical.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
• This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
• This position requires shift work including nights.
• You will be required to wear safety boots and other assigned personal protective equipment.
• You may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications
