This position is part of the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE). The incumbent will be responsible for registering students, forecasting and analyzing trends, travel arrangements and variety of administrative duties.
Duties
Completes student registration, notifies all parties of class corrections and cancellations. Complies accurate rosters and submits to program managers and budget officer by established deadlines.
Creates reports that forecast student attendees, tuition, and overhead costs. Provides accurate financial payment information to the budget officer.
Assists in coordinating annual events such as GAO meetings, IG conferences, off-sites, town halls, training presentations and special events.
Coordinate and assists with travel arrangements, updating standard operating procedures, policies and procedures related to registration, and manage registration records.
Works collaboratively with colleagues within and external to the office on projects and working groups.
Qualifications
At the GS-11 level, you must meet the following qualification: Must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-09) in the Federal Service that has given you the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the duties the position. Specialized experience for this position is: Organizes and administers student records, oversees student admissions, ensures records are updated; manages, processes and enters data into computer systems. Manipulates spreadsheets, maintains databases, prepares correspondence, edits documents, and formulates briefing materials. Provides data analysis through various aspects of data collection, categorization and trend analysis and finalized data via reports. Performs analyses and making recommendations with respect to program area administrative topics. OR
Must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or a LL.M., if related (e.g., PhD. in Business, Management, or relating). Must have a combination of specialized experience and education as described above, such that the total equals 100%. For example, I have 6 months of experience and half of the degree requirements for a Ph.D. (Note: Applicants who select this response must provide transcripts as verification of their education).

TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
