About the Position: Serves as a Financial Management Analyst with the Army Sustainment Command, 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Log Readiness Center at West Point New York.

Duties

Serve as a Financial Management Analyst, applying knowledge of accounting, budgeting and resource management practices. Conduct review and analysis of financial transactions, financial system data/reports, planning documentation. Analyze funding directives and guidance to determine applicability to the command and initiate changes to policies and procedures. Monitor processing cycles/techniques within various automated systems to analyze system outputs and regulatory reports. Process and identify source transactions; analyze and document need for adjustments; and initiate and ensure completion of corrective actions. Supervise civilian employees within the section.

Requirements

  • Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
  • Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 - This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • Financial Management Certification Level 2 is required.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
