About the Position: This position is for a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist with the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) located at Redstone Arsenal, AL.
This is a pay banded position. The NH-03 band encompasses grades 12 and 13 under the General Schedule (GS) system.
Duties
Implementing logistics policies, processes, initiatives, and/or programs for major, highly complex weapon systems acquisition in the areas of Logistics Support.
Ensure compliance with policies and recommends policy changes to fit requirements of new systems.
Identify problems and develop innovative solutions.
Mentor employee's professional growth enhancing self-development via work assignments, formal and informal trainings.
Incorporate ways to improve business processes increasing the quality of work and production.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service that includes: 1) Implementing logistics policies, processes, and/or programs for highly complex weapon systems; 2) Developing solutions to multipart challenges in support of mission objectives; and 3) Communicating actions to diverse team with varying skill sets, while using conflict resolution to reduce barriers to production and support teambuilding.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02 or GS-11).
