About the Position: This position is located at U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 404TH Army Field Support Brigade Logistics Readiness Center, Transportation Division, Freight Movement Branch, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA.

Duties

Utilize automated systems to input freight classification codes. Determine efficient and economical rates and routes for movement of freight. Arrange for domestic shipments over 10,000 lbs for surface and under 1,000 lbs for air. File data pertaining to freight movement to keep proper record of shipments. Advise customers of inadequacies or inaccuracies in shipping requests and related documentation. Provide advice to serviced activities on freight procedures, policies and regulations. Advise activities on special packing, labeling and proper procedures for preparation of shipment.

OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Supply Chain Management, Business Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18.
