Duties

Gives advice/counsel/ instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters. Plans, develops, and establishes long and short-range procurement plans, milestone charts, and strategies and approaches for the overall acquisition program. Negotiates and issues contract modifications driven by technological advances, upgraded operational requirements, and other changes characteristic of the type of contract involved. Manages, trains, and supervises the work of the branch. Plans work to be accomplished, interprets policy and procedures, and establishes priorities. . Establishes performance requirements, evaluates performance, provides advice/guidance, and counsels subordinates as necessary

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Acquisition Certification in Contracting within 36 months of entrance on duty.
  • Secret Clearance

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsContracting/ProcurementLeadershipPreparation and Negotiation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
