You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Managerial Accounting Branch (Code 0122) of the Accounting Division (Code 012) of the Comptroller Department (Code 01) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, Port Hueneme Division, Port Hueneme, California.
Duties
You will perform basic accounting functions relative to invoice processing within both government and commercial accounting,
You will apply Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF), DoD Financial Management Regulations (FMR), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and other financial requirements and policy related to Managerial Accounting in performance of duties,
You will assist managerial personnel in the areas of vendor pay, cash management, MILSTRIP, and the general ledger,
You will work with accruals, accounts payable, and commitments and obligations, maintaining compliance with regulations under oversight of lead personnel,
You will assist in performing financial management analysis, working with unmatched disbursements (UMD) in several functional areas including contract vendor pay, training, and outgoing government orders,
You will apply analysis of data for upper level personnel to respond to Management related Ad Hoc data calls with oversight by lead personnel,
You will independently troubleshoot, identify, and examine errors or problems within the Navy ERP system and coordinate resolutions of problems with appropriate personnel.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For the GS-09 position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing financial data to include the development of funding documents and reports for an organization.
For the GS-07 position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing financial administrative functions to assist funds personnel and document processing for an organization.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
For the GS-09 position:
- A Master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR
- Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Master's or equivalent degree; OR
- An LL.B. or J.D., in a field directly related to the position being filled; OR
- A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
For the GS-07 position:
- One full year of graduate level education; OR
- Successful completion of a Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement; OR
- A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
