You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist (Systems Administration/Customer Support) in the Research Development Test and Evaluation Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Duties
You will conduct periodic inspections of vulnerabilities within the Area of Responsibility (AOR) as directed by management leveraging tools such as Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM).
You will manage periodic inspections of applicable Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) as directed by management utilizing tools such as STIG Viewer and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP).
You will administer periodic inspections of inventory to ensure documentation, physical location, and condition of assets are as described in Risk Management Framework artifacts.
You will assist agency employees with technical requirements that can be addressed with an IT solution and solve complex work problems and participate in the development of the solution.
You will communicate assignments, milestones, and deadlines in written or verbal format to management while improving processes and procedures to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of tasks.
Requirements

- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work code (System Administration), proficiency level (Intermediate). Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
(1) Conducting periodic inspections of vulnerabilities within the Area of Responsibility (AOR) as directed by management leveraging tools such as Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM); (2) Managing periodic inspections of applicable Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) as directed by management utilizing tools such as STIG Viewer and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP); (3) Administering periodic inspections of inventory to ensure documentation, physical location, and condition of assets are as described in Risk Management Framework artifacts; (4) Assisting agency employees with technical requirements that can be addressed with an IT solution and solving complex work problems and participating in the development of the solution; and (5) Communicating assignments, milestones, and deadlines in written or verbal format to management while improving processes and procedures to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of tasks.

Education
Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:
Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
