About the Position: Serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist over a group of first-line supervisors and staff members who support the supply planning, demand planning, sourcing, and/or order fulfillment functions in Army Materiel Command (AMC) located at Redstone Arsenal, AL.

Duties

Establishes priorities for assigned first-line supervisors and supporting workgroups. Observes the operations of first-line supervisors and staff through written or oral reports, correspondence review, consultation with supervisors, and personal observation. Supports the planning, development, implementation, and management of effective product support strategies for supply throughout the life cycle for weapons, materiel or information systems, as addressed in applicable policy/regulatory guidance. Supports supply chain management integration across the IPS Elements to optimize Class II, IX for system suitability, affordability, reliability, availability, maintainability and operational effectiveness throughout the system life cycle. Manages and delivers repairable products and services through the IPS Elements to enable and sustain systems for operational readiness. Supports the weapon system manager developing and documenting the supply and maintenance support strategy, in applicable documentation, IAW policy and regulatory guidance.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance.
• This position has a Data Analytics requirement. The incumbent must meet all requirements for Data Analytics level one (1) certification within 12 months of being placed on the position.
• The incumbent of this position will be required to complete and file a Financial Disclosure Statement (OGE-450).
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
• This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). Selectee must execute a written tenure agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years.
