This announcement will be used for the Hiring Event at the Eglin Golf Course (1527 Fairway Dr. in Niceville) on 13 MARCH 2024 from 0830-1400.
This position will be assigned to the Eglin AFB Outdoor Recreation.
Those who apply by March 7 may be scheduled for an interview the day of the hiring event.
Duties
Performs and/or assists in operation and maintenance of recreational facilities. Establishes schedules of events as well as the rules and regulations to be observed. Recommends programs and creates an annual calendar of events for final approval. Performs administrative tasks such as maintaining reservation book and party contacts; assisting with preparing party contracts for special/private events; preparing after action reports, compiling and responding to customer critiques and comments; and collecting data to evaluate the effectiveness of the programs. Provides weekly activity report to supervisor detailing participation, expenditures and revenue of individual programs. Coordinates on all marketing of scheduled programs/events to include the use of internal social media. Sets up and breaks down area for scheduled events, or ensures the area is set up/broken down as needed. May schedule campsites, cabins, boats, and other outdoor recreation equipment and areas for use, with responsibility for seeing that they are vacated or returned in good order. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Experience demonstrating a working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs; and practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities and equipment, rules and procedures in a recreation program activity which has involved recreation work in the area of specialty in which the position is assigned; ability and skill in dealing with the public.
Conditions of Employment:
Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required. Requires working days, nights, weekends, holidays to support scheduled programs/events.
