About the Position:
This position is with DoD Education Activity (DoDEA) HQ, Office of The Director Strategic and Organizational Excellence System Innovtion Branch.
Duties
Creates and maintains virtual libraries, data repositories, taxonomies, knowledge maps, shared
drives, SOPs, training plans, and other materials.
Supports the design, implementation, monitoring, and sustainment of a DoDEA-wide program to identify, capture, vet, and disseminate research-based practices to improve the effectiveness of the organization and support achievement of DoDEA’s mission.
Communicates with stakeholders to examine current practices and processes through multiple methods,
including interviews, focus groups, surveys, video capture, and others.
Executes actions that result in oral and written communication products which are sound (using appropriate format, tone, and detail, with proper grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, that are completed by established due date).
Identifies and supports Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), coaches, and mentors with building and supporting knowledge teams.
Requirements
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

- One year trial or probationary period may be required.
- Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.

Specialized Experience for GS 12: One year of specialized experience which includes: Assists employees across the organization in creating, maintaining, and growing knowledge resources;
Ensures that knowledge captured is made available to the agency utilizing a variety of tools;
Facilitates the capture of tacit knowledge from subject matter experts and the application of knowledge distillation techniques. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Specialized Experience for GS 13: One year of specialized experience which includes: Assists employees across the organization in creating, maintaining, and growing knowledge resources;
Uses research methodologies to vet existing practices and develop research-based supporting material to guide implementation of effective practices in the agency; Facilitates the capture of tacit knowledge from subject matter experts and the application of knowledge distillation techniques; Ensures that knowledge captured is made available to the agency utilizing a variety of tools; Creates and facilitates Communities of Practices (CoPs) and Communities of Interest (CoIs) to enhance explicit and tacit knowledge production, management, and sharing. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
