You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TRAINING SPECIALIST in the Lifting and Handling Department of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.
Duties
You will administer instructional programs by serving as the principal training advisor for the Lifting and Handling Department, and all C/200 owned programs.
You will establish evaluative criteria through the analysis of educational or instruction problems or questions.
You will plan and conduct studies to evaluate the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the training programs owned and governed by the Lifting and Handling Department.
You will collect, analyze, and interpret data to define and determine the status of training programs.
You will research and evaluate educational materials, standards, guides, and aids to ensure that current and appropriate techniques are being used.
You will develop innovative and effective methods for training program improvements.
You will develop and manage training division administrative policies and procedures, curricula, accreditation, and certification requirements.
You will research and review course material, tests, practical exams, lesson plans, and visual aids.
You will evaluate classroom and practical ability training in order to review adequacy, accuracy in grading and adherence to established policies and procedures.
You will train and certify Lifting and Handling Department instructors to all local, NAVSEA, and Navy Crane Center requirements.

- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying instructional methods and techniques to plan and coordinate workforce development training; and administer instructional program functions (e.g., policy interpretation; monitor resources; develop curricula and instructional materials, develop certification requirements; records management; assessing or training instructors) to ensure optimization of training program operations.
