The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Engineering Data Management administration program specialist for a program of moderate size requiring modification to fit a wide range of variables or a segment of a larger substantive program.
Duties
Administer Engineering Data Management of moderate size requiring modification to fit a wide range of variables or a segment of a larger substantive program managing Engineering Data.
Establish, define, and implement requirements for the segments of Engineering Data Management to ensure operations are in line with regulatory requirements, support goals, and mission requirements.
Participate in special studies and projects related to the Engineering Data Management program.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience or will have one year within 120-days of closing of this announcement, at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes participating in the planning and overseeing the accomplishment of work directly related to the activities of Engineering Data Management (EDM), achieving effectiveness and efficiency in management and programs policy, procedures, and operations throughout the organization and ensuring timely and accurate planning and programming for requirements across the organization NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. Due to the use of 120 day rosters, applicants within 120 days of completion of TIG requirements are encouraged to apply
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the principles, theories, techniques, practices, mission, and organizational structure of the specific program and or functional field to support Air Force wide personnel/manpower/services program administration responsibilities.
2. Knowledge of the laws, regulations, principles, and practices of personnel/manpower/services program administration.
3. Knowledge of sustainment program inspection requirements, reports, and program terms, as well as knowledge of common management principles to provide advisory services and inspect assigned programs.
4. Skill in adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to the measurement and improvement of program effectiveness, and in serving as a technical specialist and spokesperson to further operating agency objectives on important issues.
5. Ability to prepare special studies and staff reports, including the ability to meet emergency and/or changing program requirements within available resources and with minimum sacrifice of quality or quantity of work.
6. Ability to establish effective working relationships and to communicate well with others, orally and in writing, including preparing and conducting formal and informal briefings.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
