This position is located in the Office of Railroad Safety, Railroad Systems and Technology Division, Federal Railroad Administration (FRA.) As a Program Analyst, the work involves providing expertise in analysis, methods and practices and the performance of critical studies requiring a number of related tasks.

Qualifications

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications. To qualify for the Grade 13, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-12, it must include: Experience coordinating logistics for high-visibility meetings and other stakeholder meetings.  Experience implementing analyses and information sources as directed to respond to user requirements and updating data inputs. Experience identifying information gaps or other barriers impacting programs and/or systems performance in order to anticipate problems; communicating with stakeholders to mitigate and/or resolve potential issues that could adversely impact programs and program delivery. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Problem Solving - Identifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; generates and evaluates alternative solutions; makes recommendations.  Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Oral Communication - Makes clear and convincing oral presentations. Listens effectively; clarifies information as needed.
