You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT/OA) in the DEPARMENT OF NAVY, STAFFING AND CLASSIFICATION DIVISION of UNIF SRVS UNI OF THE HLTH SCI.
Duties
You will provide assistance to HR Specialists in the area of Staffing and Classification.
You will research regulations, policies, and/or procedures to provide answers to inquiries.
You will review and enter a variety Request for Personnel Action (RPA), using an automated personnel system (e.g. accessions, reassignments, promotions, recruitment incentives, etc.).
You will use a personal computer 9PC) and word processing software, perform miscellaneous clerical work and prepare a variety of documents, letters, forms, reports, records, OF-8's, etc.
You will prepare vacancy announcement flyers for various positions (i.e. clerical, administrative, and technical positions) by abstracting duties statement from position descriptions and gathering information from the supervisor.
You will review selections to ensure proper adherence to referral categories and merit principles.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
GS-07:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing HR personnel systems (e.g. DCPDS) to determine nature of staffing action for the achievement of attaining best -qualified applicants and fill agency gaps.
GS-06:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying knowledge of recruiting and staffing to provide technical guidance and perform HR functions for the achievement of filling agency positions with best- qualified applicants.
GS-05:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying knowledge of HR rules, regulations, and policies to provide assistance in carrying out recruiting and placement functions and entering data in human resources information systems for an organization.

Successful completion of a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
