Duties
This position is located in the Service Operations Division, Office of Information Services (OIS), Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (OCAO), United States Capitol Police (USCP). Performs project management functions related to acquiring and implementing new data collection and storage technologies to meet USCP technology, data management, retrieval, and storage needs. Leads the acquisition, refresh, and upgrade of hardware, peripherals, and software applications to ensure optimal system performance. Coordinates efforts to implement automated technical data management system applications. Develops criteria and systems programming specifications necessary for the evaluation, installation and implementation of automated technical data management system applications. Evaluates and provides recommendations for new technologies and data architectures; and ensures the rigorous application of information security and information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of data management services.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.For the CP-11 level you must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CP-10/GS-12 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position . Specialized experience is defined as experience: 1) compiling and evaluating test data, prepares technical analyses, and recommends methods and processes; 2) evaluating and providing recommendations for new technologies and data architectures; and 3) maintaining and monitoring the performance of new technologies and data quality.All eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the vacancy announcement.(Information on Qualification & Education are located at the following link: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/)
