Duties

Serve as Installation Ammunition Manager for all U.S. Army Hawaii units, as well as serving as the Ammunition Manager for 25th Infantry Division and U.S. Army Hawaii (25 ID and USARHAW) G3T, Training Directorate. Responsible for the management and execution of all aspects of training munitions, operational load, ammunition basic load (UBL), and sustainment load munition requirements for all Army tenant units on Army installations in Hawaii. Direct management of several hundred separate line items of conventional munitions (including missiles, rockets and pyrotechnics). Manage various projects under the direction of G3T, to include supervising military officers (O3/O4s) and NCOs. Provide training oversight for all USARHAW unit to include the coordination and de-confliction of training resources. Work closely with Training Support Systems (TSS) and USAG-HI to ensure that installation and training events are well synchronized.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel up to 15% of the time.
  • Duties may require incumbent to enter hazardous live training areas and be exposed to high explosive munitions, demolitions materials, duds, and high decibel noise levels that require hearing protection to be worn.
  • The employee will be required to work overtime.
  • The employee is required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • This position has a requirement to lift 50 lbs. or more. in the regular performance of duties.
  • The employee must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
