About the Position: Hawaii has many outdoor activities all year round including surfing, paddling, diving, fishing, and hiking. Duties

Serve as the USARHAW Training Support Center (TSC) Manager, functioning independently in compliance with applicable policies and principles. Develop programs, operating policies, procedures and work plans to affect the accomplishment of DPTMS mission and objectives consistent with policy, procedures, and command requirements. Assign and approve original Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) products and services. Assure that TADSS products and services meet the requirements of AR 350-38, Training Device Policies and Management. Assure TSC products and services do not contain material that reflects negatively on the United States Army, endorse commercial products or businesses, nor violate established legal, safety, security and equal opportunity regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
