About the Position: Works the general supervision of Chief, Logistics, S4 Public Health Command Pacific (PHC-P), who provides general assignments based on scheduled and unscheduled maintenance workload. American Association of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) OR Veterans Administration Biomedical Equipment Technician certification is desirable. Salary includes 21.79% locality payment. A 8.90% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) is currently authorized, subject to change.

Duties

Provides medical maintenance support for service and administrative areas located in PHC-P and it’s district commands in several geographic allocations including Japan, Korea, Guam, Washington State, California. Performs work of broad scope and complexity, and includes medical electronic equipment and systems made up of a combination of components assembled into a configuration, that requires application of demonstrated ability. Overall work is reviewed for compliance with instructions, adequacy of results, judgment, attainment of objectives and compliance with overall policies/regulations.

Requirements

  • Able to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance.
  • Able to obtain and maintain U.S. issued driver license.
  • Up to 25% TDY may be required.
  • Position is mission essential.
  • Inclement weather essential reporting is required.
