This position is in Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (OECA), Office of Compliance, Planning, Measures, and Oversight Division, National Planning and Measures Branch. Qualifications

In addition to the educational requirements, we are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below: To qualify for the GS-15 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-14 level defined as providing guidance to a variety of stakeholders regarding performance measurement and/or program evaluation; conducting economic and/or statistical analyses to evaluate implications of environmental programs or enforcement and compliance policies; and leading, managing, or coordinating program activities to accomplish goals and/or objectives.  Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:  Ability to plan work to be accomplished by others and set and adjust short-term priorities.  Skill in oral communication. Skill in providing advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on work and/or administrative matters. Ability to evaluate performance and priorities. Knowledge of economics to ensure the efficient and consistent development, implementation, and management of environmental enforcement and compliance program evaluation and measurement. Ability to identify and recommend policy options for planning and performance measurement issues. Skill in written communication. Knowledge of economic concepts and tools used to measure or evaluate the economic, health, or environmental benefits/costs of activities. Ability to conduct research to understand economic implications of programs and/or policies. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education

You need a degree or combination of education and experience as described below to qualify for this position.

A bachelor’s or higher degree from an accredited or pre-accredited college or university in economics, that included at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus OR combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major in economics, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
