Duties
As an IT Specialist (APPSW/SYSANALYSIS), you will serve as Senior Information Technology Specialist for highly complex work that involves business process modernization and automation, applying analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved information systems and applications to align IT strategy, plans, and systems with the mission, goals, structure, and processes of the organization.
As an IT Specialist (APPSW/SYSANALYSIS), you will:
Research, evaluate, and recommend adoption of new technologies that will improve the technological environment and efficiency for the agency.
Formulate a comprehensive vision for low code/no code applications to meet TIGTA's mission and develops business plans to align technologies with business requirements.
Investigate, evaluate, and select tools and methods for improving productivity and software quality throughout the life cycle of a broad range of TIGTA IT applications, including the inception, elaboration, development, and transition to production.
Develop, deliver, or manage solutions which can be applied at the organization and/or enterprise level.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as proven proficiency and supportable (as evidenced in the resume) hands-on experience includes the following:
- Leading efforts to modernize web applications, including cloud services, in coordination with overall agency IT initiatives and goals; AND
- Designing and developing low code web applications to streamline and automate processes based on business requirements; AND
- Collaborating with customers to identify business requirements for application enhancement or development; AND
- Managing projects using iterative methodologies to deliver timely solutions.
In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.
Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
