You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (Electrical/Electronic) in the PLANNING DEPARTMENT (C400), MAINTENANCE PLANNING DIVISION (C420), Electronic/Electrical Planning Branch (426) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.
Duties
You will prepare and develop Controlled Work Packages (CWPs) and Formal Work Packages (FWPs) for Electrical/Electronic systems and components.
You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, modification/alteration and Manufacture to support repair/overhaul of submarine Electrical/Electronic systems and components.
You will research and identify Quality Assurance(QA) requirement and develop the required QA-forms to capture the Objective Quality Evidence (OQE).
You will research, locate, and interpret logistical documents such as Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM), drawings, tech manuals, Maintenance Standards (MS), procedures, instructions and directives.
You will identify obsolete or unavailable material making recommendation regarding technical resolution and/or substitution of material.
You will access and use various computer systems, software programs, and internet/online databases required to accomplish duties.
You will perform configuration/ship checks to develop man-hour estimates required for work accomplishment and to ensure the FWP/CWP accurately describes the scope of work to be accomplished.
You will perform coordinate duties and interface with shop supervisors/project team to ensure the timely and effective planning of assigned work packages to support the schedule refit period.
You will communicate effectively, orally, and in writing with contacts from inside and outside of the employing agency.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- As a Departmental Accountable Official the incumbent will be required to sign and have on file a DD577.

- The incumbent may be assigned to any shift. He/shell will be expected to occasionally continue beyond the regular shift and work week as necessary.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- You will be required to wear or utilize hard hats, protective eye/hearing devices and safety shoes on a routine basis.
Qualifications
GS-10
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Preparing and/or developing Controlled Work Packages (CWPs) and Formal Work Packages (FWPs) for electrical/electronic systems and components which provide the technical, material, procedural and test guidance for various Repair/Weapons Department shops.
Experience in the performance of maintenance, troubleshooting, modification/alteration and/or manufacture to support repair/overhaul of submarine Electrical/Electronic systems and components (e.g. rubber, plastics, Periscopes, Habitability, SOC/DDS, Electrical systems, Safety of ship, etc.).
Research, locate, and/or interpret logistical documents (e.g. Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM), Drawings, Tech Manuals, Maintenance Standards (MS), Procedures, Instructions, and directives) to ensure all TWDs prepared for Submarine maintenance are in compliance.
Research and/or identify Quality Assurance (QA) requirements and develop the required QA-forms to capture the objective Quality Evidence (OQE) required to certify maintenance performed correctly.
Validate material requirements and/or requisition material. Experience identifying obsolete or unavailable material making recommendations regarding technical solutions and/or substitution of material.
Experience using various computer systems, software programs and/or internet/ online databases required to accomplish duties (e.g. FWPs/CWPs, database searches, material requisitioning, develop man hour estimates, and generate OQE's).
Experience working independently with minimal supervision to complete production control tasks and resolve production conflicts.
GS-09
