Duties
You will be responsible for the planning of corrective, preventive maintenance and alterations with mechanical systems and components.
You will will utilize electronic databases to locate/interpret logistics technical documents.
You will identify material requirements, technical requirements, and procedures in the performance of maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, or overhaul of systems.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in maintenance of submarine mechanical AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT AND SEA WATER SYSTEMS components.
GS-12- Fully Qualified Production Controller.
GS-11- Previously Qualified Marine Machinery Mechanic or Quality Assurance Inspector/Specialist with current experience with production control (controlled work procedures and/or technical work documents development) and production planning.
GS-10- Qualified Marine Machinery Mechanic or Quality Assurance Inspector/Specialist with multiple years of experience in submarine maintenance, and knowledge of production control (controlled work procedures and/or technical work documents) and production planning.
GS-09- Qualified Marine Machinery Mechanic or Quality Assurance Inspector/Specialist with some knowledge of production control (controlled work procedures and/or technical work documents).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
