About the Position: This position is located at the 75th Medical Group, at Hill Air Force Base, Davis, Utah.

Duties

Serve as the primary point of contact for civilian personnel program management involving position management, staffing, placement, and classification. Obtain and consolidate information to develop operational working/information papers and/or internal operating procedures. Identify employee developmental needs and provide or arrange for training (formal and on-the-job) to maintain and improve job performance. Conduct training and/or informational briefings on civilian personnel programs and processes for supervisors and management teams. Develop and provide guidance as the functional expert for supervisors, and managers on civilian personnel management issues in coordination with Defense Health Agency Human Resources, legal office, and union representatives. Provide referral assistance for employees regarding their entitlements and obligations. Develop recommendations for immediate and long-term courses of action in support of the mission. Manage a Workforce Planning program advising on civilian workforce planning issues, analytics, position restructuring positions. Coordinate civilian personnel actions with civilian workforce, managers, and Defense Health Agency Human Resources on matters related to reorganizations, realignments, and reassignments. Evaluate requirements for additional civilian healthcare resources and balance needs with mission requirements and resource interests. Prepare documents to include briefings, policy letters, reports, orientation materials for new employees, training courses for supervisors, and respond to inquiries from managers, supervisors, and commanders.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • Must possess or obtain and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification IAW AFI 44-102.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
