As a Fiscal Specialist, you will perform a wide range of travel functions which involve various analyses and coordination of actions with other offices within and outside of the office.
**This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at the Lakewood, CO duty location.**

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-07] in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting four (4) of the five (5) following items:
Experience processing accounts payable or accounts receivable collections
Experience maintaining vendor or customer accounts
Experience processing and reviewing travel documents and reimbursements
Experience processing and supporting employee use of travel or purchase cards
Experience trouble shooting and resolving various systems issues and delays and verifying the systems are operating correctly
OR you may qualify for the GS-09 level based on education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education in a related field that provided the knowledge, skills, or abilities to perform the work of this position or LL.B. or J.D., if related to the work of the position.OR you may qualify for the GS-09 level based on a combination of education and experience: You may qualify on a combination of education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the specialized experience requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the educational requirement must equal at least 100 percent. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 18 semester hours (27 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: Current career or career-conditional GS employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional GS employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to current career or career-conditional federal employees applying for a Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
Education
If you are substituting education for specialized experience as described above, you must provide documentation supporting any education claims in your application. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
