About the Position: This position is located at Rock Island, Illinois and serves as the Accountable Property Officer and technical authority for all Joint Munitions Command (JMC) owned or managed material within the continental United States (OCONUS) and overseas.

Duties

Serve as the Accountable Property Officer and technical authority with respect to accountability activities for all Joint Munitions Command (JMC) owned or managed material. Provide life cycle logistics support for various conventional munitions by ensuring implementation of higher authority regulations, directives, supply policies, and procedures to ensure adherence by personnel. Serve as representative/advisor to the Commanding General and Senior Executive Service representatives in matters pertaining to the accountability of JMC managed munitions and related materials. Lead efforts of JMC staff in support of Army Audit Readiness and Remediation activities. Serve as organization point of contact for but not limited to: Army Audit Readiness and Remediation for Operating Materials and Supplies (OMS), and Army Working Capital Fund (AWCF).

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.

  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Certification within 36 months of entrance on duty.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Inventory ManagementOral CommunicationPlanning and EvaluatingProblem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Applicants must confirm eligibility and minimum qualification requirements within 30 calendar days of the closing date of the announcement.
