Vacancies will be filled in the following specialty areas:
RPO, Enrolled Agent Policy & Management, Practitioner Enrollment Office.
The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.
Responsible for performing mail sorting, delivering, and filing for Legal Instruments Examiners, Senior Legal Instruments Examiners, and Management Program Analyst IR-07. Incumbent responsible for handling and delivering all incoming mail for the employees they provide support to as well as filing away correspondence when appropriate. Incumbent also sends standard correspondence through the mail for employees.
Correspondence sent out to enrolled agents and alerting agents of upcoming renewal requirements. Incumbent responsible for documenting the undelivered mail to enrolled agents into "E-Trak." When required, employee also responsible for retrieving data from "E-Track
Use of office automation hardware, software, and other devices for improving efficiency of office operations. Uses office automation software to compose standard correspondence as well as for word processing purposes. Incumbent expected to be able to compose e-mails. Responsible for tracking office supplies and alerting manager when supplies are needed through use of office automation software. Incumbent must understand the office's various administrative services to provide additional support when needed.
Qualifications
Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:
BASIC REQUIREMENT : You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-4 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular competencies needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. This may be paid or non-paid experience. Examples of qualifying experience may include conducting basic research and applying information as necessary, interacting and communicating (orally and in writing) with customers, performing office duties. OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: A Bachelor's degree or four years of education above high school in any field of study from an accredited college or university. OR Equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
