You will serve as the Head of the CVN (nuclear-powered aircraft carrier) and United States Coast Guard (USCG) Machinery Control Systems Branch or the Aegis Ashore (AA), LHD LHA, CG47 Machinery Control Systems Branch of Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWC PHILA DIV).

Duties

You will provide authoritative advice and consultation within and external to Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division. You will utilize experience in the acquisition, planning, engineering development and testing of Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical MACHINERY CONTROL SYSTEMS. You will provide administrative, organizational, and technical management over all Branch programs, activities, and resources. You will report to the Division Head of the Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical Multi-mission Combat Ship (MCS) Surface Ship Division. You will review, assess risk, and direct complex projects and programs. You will lead teams of technical individuals, foster teamwork, and delegate authority. You will supervise, mentor, and manage personnel.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 pay band (GS-12/13 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer coordinating or conducting design, development, test and evaluation, integration, or in-service engineering functions in support of Navy vessels. For 08xx, all Professional Engineering Series: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
