The Office of the Chief Information Officer at Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC) is currently seeking interested applicants for an IT Specialist Service Integrator and Customer support position. The AFRC OCIO is responsible for all IT services and support at the Center, working closely and in conjunction with Center customers, Agency Service Lines, and within Agency guidelines to ensure effective and efficient delivery of local and Agency services in support of NASA's and AFRC's mission.
Duties
Works in conjunction with the Service Integration Lead, other team members, service customers, stakeholders, service organizations, and with the contractors.
Gathers and verifies service requirements and identify opportunities for meeting customers’ requirements with shared solutions and infrastructure.
Participates in agency and Center level working groups, project teams, tiger teams, Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) to prioritize customer requirements and support project lifecycle reviews.
Supports requirements development, acceptance processes, IT management, change management, and other IT process frameworks required by Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).
Assists the Service integration lead in ensuring the execution of OCIO service delivery and monitors support of Enterprise delivered contract services.
Assists with the coordination of service delivery activities across multiple sections of the OCIO and multiple contracts, supporting a customer base that includes NASA civil servants, contractors, and various missions.
Maintains awareness of the unique center mission requirements and activities to ensure the optimal configuration and implementation of the service is aligned with Agency plans.
Supports various IT needs for the service and technical integration of local and enterprise capabilities with other center customers in coordination of activities.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
You may meet the basic requirements through substitution of education for experience.
To qualify for the GS-9, you must have:
a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level:
Participating on a team, project, or other activities in the support of IT products or services, such as working with aspects of contracts or collaborating with mission/business partners to identify and support requested IT solutions;
Supporting the design or technical integration requirements to support stakeholder, mission, or organization requirements;
Assisting with the coordination of requirements development activities to meet customer, mission or organization needs.
OR
b) Completed all requirements for a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree with (1) a major in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management OR (2) a major that provided a minimum of 24 semester in one or more fields of computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management, and that required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.
OR
c) Completed 2 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree with (1) a major in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management OR (2) a major that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more fields of computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management, and that required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.
AND
IF you are qualifying based on experience, you MUST also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:
