This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties
Serves as the Information Assurance Security Manager (IASM) in accordance with (IAW) Public Law, U.S. Government, DoD and U.S. Army regulation or policy to provide the required Network Defense-In-Depth for the PM/PL and its customers.
Develops accreditation packages for systems networks, reviews or evaluates the security impact of system changes upon the networks and computers within their area of responsibility.
Works with other security officers, users, computer operators, and other support personnel to ensure security regulations are followed, and that installation, command, or agency security standards are met.
Implements standard operating procedures, software, controls promoting awareness of security issues among management, and ensures that sound security principles are part of the organization's vision or goals to ensure appropriate levels of security.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Practitioner Level in the Acquisition Career Field (N) Engineering and Technical management within 60 months of entrance on duty.
- Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is required on pre-employment and annually thereafter.
- Must meet the Information Assurance Management (IAM) level I certification within six (6) months of appointment.
- Drug Test is required.
- Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.
- 10% Business Travel.

Acquisition Statement: Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Career Field Position. This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level II in Acquisition Career Field N - Engineering & Technical Management within 60 months of entrance on duty.

To qualify based on your experience, you must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies:

AND
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position based on experience your resume must describe one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11) grade level in the Federal service which includes:
1) Apply analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet business requirements of customer organizations; AND
2) Provide technical expertise to oversee the cybersecurity risk assessment process, review assurance documents to confirm levels of risk within acceptable limits and assist in the management of system requirements; Ensure application and integrity of program requirements; AND
3.) Apply knowledge of current automation technology and cybersecurity practices.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 or GS-11 equivalent
