About the Position: Serves as Action Officer in the Adaptive Reconditioning Branch, Comprehensive Recovery Plan Division, HQ Medical Command, Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) - G-3/5/7, Army Recovery Care- Program (ARCP).
Develops, plans and executes Adaptive Reconditioning policy and procedures. Serves as subject matter expert in the role of physical and recreational therapy in the Soldier Recovery Units. Analyzes the Adaptive Reconditioning program for development potential.
Duties
Develops, plans and executes Adaptive Reconditioning policy and provides oversight for the execution of all Adaptive Reconditioning Programming, to include adaptive sports and all moderate intensity and therapeutic activities.
Subject Matter Expert/Functional Expert for multiple, high priority adaptive reconditioning contracts that provide essential program support and staffing at SRUs and for high-profile adaptive sporting events.
Serves as ARCP Adaptive Reconditioning Subject Matter Expert with technical oversight responsibility for adaptive reconditioning policy in the SRUs. Serves as strategic-level point of contact.
ARCP Subject Matter Expert on ARCP and SRU work conditioning, Return to Work and Functional Capacity Evaluation program. Oversees implementation of SRU work conditioning, Return to Work and Functional Capacity Evaluation program at enterprise-level.
Assists in the planning, coordination and execution of high-level adaptive sporting events, including the DoD Warrior Games, Invictus Games and Army Trials. Ensures all adaptive reconditioning operations and support data are current.
Requirements
- Able to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance.
- TDY up to 30%.
- Probationary period may be required.
