About the Position: Serves as an Inventory Management Specialist (Demand Planner) in Army Materiel Command (AMC). AMC delivers logistics, sustainment, and material readiness from the installation to the forward tactical edge to ensure globally dominant land force capabilities.
Duties
Assist in demand planning and forecasting for a broad range of supply and program relationships.
Resolve difficult demand planning issues involving processes, work methods, supply data management and day to day operational procedures.
Develops guidelines and prepares reports addressing forecast accuracy and demand history peculiarities.
Utilizes Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to review demand history, apply plan adjustments and generate forecasts.
Prepares timely and accurate written and oral assessment of the program.
Presents information briefings on demand coding and processes to upper management.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) required 25% of the time
- Required to serve a 1 year probationary period
- Requires Data Analytics level one (1) certification within 12 months of reaching the full performance level of this position

General Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade which includes: 1) Analyzing data to resolve problems; 2) Presenting reports or briefings; 3) Utilizing programs or tools to manage projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-01/GS-04).

Education: Successfully completed a full four (4) year course of study leading to a Bachelor's Degree. (NOTE: You MUST attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Experience and Education: The general experience as described in A, but less than three (3) years; and I have some education as described in B, but less than the required four (4) years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 36. Then, divide your semester hours of education by 120. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100% to qualify.). (NOTE: You MUST attach a copy of your transcripts.)
