This position is located at Departmental Offices, Assistant Secretary for Management/CFO, DAS Information Systems & CIO, ACIO Infrastructure & Operations (IO), Enterprise Networks. As a Supervisory IT Specialist (INFOSEC), you will be responsible for the policy, operations, and oversight of a wide range of IT infrastructure including telecommunications services for Treasury offices and Bureaus.
Duties
As a Supervisory IT Specialist (INFOSEC), you will:
Serve as a subject matter expert on information technology issues related to security for telecommunications, data, voice, and video, ICAM, and cloud technologies.
Act as the primary liaison for the Director, Enterprise Infrastructure Cybersecurity with other entities in the information security community.
Manage a staff of security specialists performing duties on multiple projects and programs within the Department.
Express ideas and facts to individuals or groups effectively; make clear and convincing oral presentations; listen to others; facilitate an open exchange of ideas.
Make sound and well-informed decisions; perceive the impact and implications of decisions; commit to action, even in uncertain situations, in order to accomplish organizational goals; cause change.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience for the GS-15: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal service, public or other private sectors. Specialized experience for this position includes all of the following:
- Developing, defining, managing and documenting cyber projects; AND
- Using project management tools and skills to develop and manage in-depth cybersecurity projects plans; AND
- Applying Federal information systems security protocols to integrate information systems security with other security disciplines; AND
- Developing, implementing and interpreting metrics for the evaluation of cybersecurity program effectiveness and efficiency
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
