WHAT IS THE WAGE AND INVESTMENT CUSTOMER ACCOUNT SERVICESDIVISION? If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position. *Assesses existing and proposed programs and activities to determine their investment potential and contribution to the achievement of the mission and strategic goals. On selected assignments, identifies business, technological, and financial risks within ongoing programs and opportunities directly and indirectly involved in meeting established agency goals and objectives. *Plans, conducts, and completes management analyses of recurring issues and operations to provide management with accurate and timely data, and recommendations. *Uses information technology hardware and software to gather and interpret data, prepare reports, spreadsheets, flow charts, and action plans. *Serves as a member on a number of teams that collaboratively plan, develop, complete, and deliver work under stringent deadlines. *Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week, on your resume. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-09: To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience in applying project management principles, techniques, and practices to effectively manage the achievement of project goals and objectives. As well as evaluating an existing business process and to design, develop, and then test proposed process improvements; Experience in implementing and maintaining an improved business process. Experience should demonstrate the ability to coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders in the preparation and execution of Unified Work Requests (UWRs) or KISAM tickets. OR You may substitute education for specialized as follows: master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related field of study that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to do the work. OR Two years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a related field of study that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to do the work. OR LL.B. or J.D., if related. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-11: To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience that demonstrated the ability to manage multiple assignments that required a workable knowledge of program oversight; qualitative and quantitative methods; planning policies and procedures; and oral and written communications; and a knowledge of computer applications sufficient to prepare written reports, spreadsheets, and flowcharts; examples of specialized experience include assignments where you participated in a range of project management principles, practices, methods, and techniques; conducted analysis of issues, and/or of strategic importance; utilize existing approaches and/or techniques in reporting. You may substitute education for specialized as follows: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a related field of study. OR Three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a related field of study. OR an LL.M., if related. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-12: To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience that demonstrated the ability to manage multiple assignments that required a workable knowledge of program oversight; qualitative and quantitative methods; planning policies and procedures; and oral and written communications; and a knowledge of computer applications sufficient to prepare written reports, spreadsheets, and flowcharts; examples of specialized experience include assignments where you participated in a range of project management principles, practices, methods, and techniques; conducted analysis of issues broad in nature, and/or of strategic importance; helped developed new approaches and/or refined existing techniques. Education

A copy of your transcripts or equivalent documentation is required for positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying based on education or a combination of education and experience. An official transcript will be required if you are selected. If the position has specific education requirements and you currently hold, or have previously held, a position in the same job series with the IRS, there is no need to submit a transcript or equivalent at this time. Applicants are encouraged, but are not required, to submit an SF-50 documenting experience in a specific series. A college or university degree generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
