About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is with INSCOM, 780th MI BDE, responsible for overall management and accountability of supply, transportation, and logistics support function, as well as Facilities Manager duties.

Duties

Advising on supply matters, such as costing, requisitioning, contracting, storing, distributing, issuing, repairing, and accounting for all levels of materiel Assisting in mandatory recurring monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual inventories Developing and implementing supply programs, methods, and procedures including property accountability, acquisition, receiving, distribution, storage, utilization/reutilization, maintenance, disposal, and transportation Reviewing and analyzing processes such as stock level determinations, receipt, issue, storage, and disposal of equipment Conducting on-site visits to subordinate activities for inspections and equipment surveys including inventory management storage and distribution and supply cataloging assistance Serving as Facility Manager responsible for operation, maintenance, repair, and minor construction of facilities, utility systems, pavements, grounds, and fire detection systems

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on a Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to National Security Agency (NSA) facilities and networks.
  • Temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required 40% or less.
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license/POV.
  • Position is considered Key which prohibits the position from being vacated during a national emergency or mobilization and cannot be filled by Ready Reservists or military retirees with recall obligations.
  • Position is designated Mission Essential and incumbent must be able to remain on duty or make every effort to report to duty on time during emergency and/or crisis situations.
  • Heavy lifting required up to 70 pounds.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment physical based on the physical requirements of the position.
  • May require significant periods of standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling carts of supplies or equipment.
