About the Position: Located 40 miles southeast of San Francisco, 20 miles southeast of Oakland, and 30 miles northeast of San Jose at the junction of Interstate Highways 580 and 680. Employees are eligible for the Mass Transportation Fringe Benefit Program.

Duties

Serve as an Environmental Protection Specialist responsible for installation-wide Compliance or Conservation programs. Responsible for analyzing and managing the pollution abatement and compliance or conservation programs in the Command. Provide expert advice to the command, other headquarters, and agencies on matters related to Environmental Protection. Establishing internal policies to include providing supplements to Army Regulations and procedures that protect our environmental and personnel resources without impairing the Command's mission.

  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
