About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Special Operations Plans Specialist at the J3X, Integrated Operations Division in Miami, FL.
Duties
Write operational plans concerning the development and implementation of counterterrorism (CT), counterproliferation (CP) of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and consequence management (CM) of WMD.
Provide advice to senior staff and government agencies to develop the basis for resource allocation for a national policy for CT, CP, and CM.
Review and coordinate the integration of annexes and appendices provided by staff and component commands.
Devise national military strategy concerning CT, CP, and CM.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position is designated Critical-Sensitive (5) requiring a TOP SECRET security clearance.
- Must possess a completed Special Background Investigation (or be able to complete one) and be cleared for TOP SECRET and Sensitive Information (SI) access.
- This is a mandatory drug testing position.
- Temporary duty/travel (TDY) is 10%.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1). Develop policies for organizational use regarding counterterrorism, counterproliferation of weapons of mass destruction, (WMD) and WMD; 2). Prepare documentation for submission to leadership regarding the possible decisions pertaining to organizational procedures; and 3). Provide guidance to personnel regarding the implementation of operational plans.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12 or above).
