Duties

Identify materials used in the fabrication processes. Select proper rod type and size of tip to accomplish weld. Select proper size/type of welding equipment needed for work assignment/project. Interpret shop orders, blueprints, work orders, and/or specifications of the product.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• This position requires you to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment and annual physical examination.
• Position may require shift work.

Qualifications

Apply welds using flat and horizontal positions; set-up and adjust equipment to accomplish welds; use shop orders, work orders, blueprints and drawings to determine equipment and material needed to accomplish welds. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
