About the Position: Serve as a Human Resources (HR) Analyst performing a variety of duties relating to the responsibility and administration for civilian General Schedule (GS) or Federal Wage System (FWS) employees. Serves as advisor to the HR Director and Senior Leadership and in the areas of HR administration, support, policies, and customer service.
Duties
Assist supervisors and managers with recruitment and position management.
Draft and review position descriptions for accuracy while recommending proper title, series, and grade in accordance with appropriate classification standards and guidelines.
Prepare and process personnel actions using HR automated systems.
Provide Labor and Management Employee Relations (LMER) support.
Implement new HR program changes, policies, and special projects.

Experience: One-year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 grade level in the federal service which includes applying analytical methods to identify, evaluate, and recommend alternative solutions to civilian human resources recruitment and placement; explaining civilian human resources laws, regulations, and procedures (e.g. pay setting and employment eligibility);conducting job analyses requiring developing specialized experience statements and identifying competencies for best qualified criteria.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
