The primary purpose of this position is to serve as lead manager responsible for managing requirements processes in integrating warfighter requirements and capabilities, as well as developing and fielding High Assurance and NSA-certified cryptographic devices for the AF Enterprise.
Duties
Serves as senior requirements analyst and team lead for the development and delivery of cryptographic capabilities.
Provides technical, procedural, and policy guidance for the planning and implementation of cryptographic capabilities.
Develops, maintains, and reviews planning documents related to the creation, integration, or implementation of cryptographic modernization.
Represents Air Force cryptographic modernization position at meetings and conferences.

Qualifications

Experience: Must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving AND one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12 (or equivalent in other pay systems). Specialized experience in cryptographic system methods, approaches, and management regarding oversight and performance of hardware and operation configurations, policies, and procedures applied to the business requirements. Maintenance, acquisition, system concepts, techniques, policies, principles, and security to determine the business value of the systems and their information, and performance measures.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1.Mastery knowledge of, and skill in applying, a wide range of cryptographic systems, principles, facilities, procedures, practices, and methodology, such as those found in Government and industry.
2.Expert knowledge of cryptographic modernization, oversight, performance management, and of hardware operation, configuration, policies, and procedures.
3.Expert know ledge and high level of skill related to the process of requirements analysis, assessing capabilities of cryptographic systems relative to established requirements and determining impacts to related/dependent systems.
4.In-depth knowledge of trends in present and emerging, cryptographic systems and programs.
5.Professional skill and ability to speak and write effectively for the purpose of presenting, understanding, and discussing complex technology concepts, issues, and problem resolutions with key government officials, industry officials, and other military and civilian personnel.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
