THIS IS AN ARIZONA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION
This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA).
This position is part of the AZ 161st Air Refueling Wing, Arizona National Guard under Position Description PDT5901900.
Duties
This position is located with the 161st ARW in Phoenix, Arizona. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the subject matter expert in managing the unit PRIME Base Engineer Emergency Forces (BEEF) and Mobility programs which includes civil engineering (CE) unit activities. This position develops concepts, procedures, and systems necessary to implement the unit PRIME BEEF and Mobility Programs to include Air Expeditionary Force (AEF) deployment/CE management.
Requirements
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- Participation in the Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer Program.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Incumbent must possess and maintain a current state driver’s license.
- Incumbent must possess or be able to obtain a secret security clearance within one year of appointment.
- May occasionally be directed to work other than normal duty hours.
- This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. Cont..
- This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least 24 months experience, education, or training which has provided application of practices, theories, techniques, and methods of management. Experience analyzing, interpreting, and developing policies and procedures of local management. Experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical, or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes, and principles of management. Knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques. Experience using computer and automation systems.
