Duties
You will detect events and report on all threats that are directed against those systems regardless of their classification level or type.
You will monitor enterprise networks and systems.
You will collaborate with leadership to develop metrics based on situational awareness and threat monitoring at an enterprise level that will be reported based on the approved plan and supporting checklists.
You will facilitate new device adds, perform compliance scans and verify system compliance.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for area of 451 System Administration level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09/10 grade level or DS-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate all of the following: 1) Monitoring enterprise networks and systems; 2) Detecting events and reporting on all threats that are directed against systems regardless of their classification level; 3) Collaborating with leadership to develop metrics based on situational awareness and threat monitoring at an enterprise level; and
4) Supporting a full array of analytical activities as part of external threat monitoring, detection, and event analysis.

Education
A PhD or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
