You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Financial Management Division of STRATEGIC WEAPONS FACILITY PACIFIC located in Bangor, WA.
Duties
You will perform specialized work in connection with accounting systems such as Cash History On-Line Operator Search Engine (CHOOSE), Navy Enterprise Resource Program (N-ERP) or One-Pay.
You will provide interpretations of accounting reports, statements, and other accounting data reflecting the interrelationships between accounting, budgeting and other management data.
You will use judgement to adapt guidelines to specific problems and may need to interpret a large number of varied policies and regulations.
You will provide information about, and interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations.
You will research guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and prepare summaries for use by managers.
You will prepare and review any required Journal Voucher (JV) transactions necessary to properly correct and process financial transactions.
You will track open contract commitments and recording obligations per financial management regulations.
You will review vendor invoices for completeness and accuracy and process for payment.
You will assist in the performance of functions such as formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing financial management systems to review and analyze financial, budgetary or accounting transactions (i.e., Navy Enterprise Resource Programs (N-ERP), Cash History On-Line Operator Search Engine (CHOOSE), Standardized Accounting and Reporting System-Field Level (STARS-FL) or similar systems). Examples of qualifying experience may include: investigate and clear unmatched disbursements, correct General Ledger balances, prepare Journal Voucher Packages.
