About the Position: This position is located at the United States Air Force Academy Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Duties
Creates, builds, and executes standard recurring and specialized reports to provide information in response to the monthly Total Force Management Board (TFMB).
Inputs, maintains, and extracts pertinent data and information, related to the TFMB, from master databases to include Defense Medical Human Resources System internet (DMHRSi) and
Employee Management, Processing and Recruitment System (EMPReS) along with data input to create spreadsheets in Microsoft Access and Excel/Pivot Table applications and various other types of computer based applications.
Identifies for commanders and supervisors methods and tools to quantify mission capability, process capability, and resource utilization effectiveness.
Provides analytical insight, technical/administrative expertise and organizational acumen in planning, implementing, conducting and evaluating a wide variety of organizational processes and reviews.
Provides advice on various resource management programs.
Responsible for manpower resource issues and concerns to identify, consider, and resolve a variety of manpower management related questions and problems as they relate to the TFMB.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Financial Management Certification Level 2.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes documented experience which demonstrates: 1) collecting, validating, reporting, and analyzing cost accounting information pertaining to Labor, via the Defense Medical Human Resources System-Internet (DMHRSi); 2) provides analytical insight, technical/administrative expertise, and organization acumen in planning, implementing, conducting, and evaluating a wide variety of organizational processes and reviews in support of the resource/manpower management programs; 3) inputs, maintains, and extracts pertinent data and information from master databases to include Defense Medical Human Resources System internet (DMHRSi); AND 4) identifies for commanders and supervisors' methods and tools to quantify mission capability, process capability, and resource utilization effectiveness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
