You will serve as a Supervisory Quality Assurnace Specialist in the Compliance and Quality Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will provide managerial direction, advice, and instructions to subordinates and coordinate with key personnel on matters concerning the development and implementation of the depot's Quality Assurance program. You will supervise a variety of positions concerned with planning, developing, and maintaining a comprehensive Quality Assurance management plan associated with a rework, overhaul, modification, and repair of aircraft weapons systems and instruments. You will establish and maintain the agency's Quality Audit Program while recommending and facilitating changes in command policies, processes, and procedures as needed to meet quality audit program requirements. You will provide quality program compliance expertise in support of documentation development and procedure modification activities. You will design and develop Quality Assurance techniques and procedures to determine the adequacy of product and special process certification decisions made by production personnel.

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Providing managerial direction, advice, and instructions to subordinates and coordinating with key personnel on matters concerning the development and implementation of the depot's Quality Assurance program; (2) Supervising and performing a variety of positions concerned with planning, developing, and maintaining a comprehensive Quality Assurance management plan associated with a rework, overhaul, modification, and repair of aircraft weapons systems and instruments; (3) Establishing and maintaining the agency's Quality Audit Program while recommending and facilitating changes in command policies, processes, and procedures as needed to meet quality audit program requirements; (4) Providing quality program compliance expertise in support of documentation development and procedure modification activities; and (5) Designing and developing Quality Assurance techniques and procedures to determine the adequacy of product and special process certification decisions made by production personnel.
