This position serves as a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, Assistant Director, located in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Justice Management Division (JMD), Finance Staff (FS), Human Resources and Administrative Group (HRG) in Washington, D.C. The Finance Staff (FS) formulates, establishes, and maintains Department-wide policies, procedures, and financial systems to support budgeting, accounting, auditing, travel, and other financial management activities.

The duties and responsibilities for a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
Collaborate on Human Resources workforce development projects.
Resolve informal complaints and grievances.
Perform the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised.
Handle complex program issues and provide authoritative guidance.
Requirements
- You must be a United States Citizen or National.
- You must successfully pass a security/background investigation and a drug screening.
- You must be a current Federal employee within the Department of Justice on a Competitive Service appointment.
- You must meet all applicable time-in-grade requirements by the closing of this announcement.
- Additional selections may be made from this announcement, at any time, if openings occur in other offices serviced by Justice Management Division, HR Operations.
- You may be required to complete a one-year supervisory probationary period.
Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, (GS-0343-15), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade.
If you are a current Department of Justice employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service, which includes: Overseeing human capital management programs; Managing administrative and Work life activities for an organization; and Serving as Security Liaison.
