Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, National Targeting Center - Mission Support Division in Sterling, VA.

Duties

This position will allow you to use your expertise in managing and overseeing various programs which have an agency-wide and government-wide impact. This position starts at a salary of $99,200.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $128,956.00 (GS-12, Step 10) with promotion potential to $128,956.00 (GS-12, Step 10). In this Program Manager position you will become a key member of a team of Homeland Security professionals managing a variety of diverse programs and/or services of the organization. Typical work assignments include: Developing detailed plans, goals, and objectives for implementation of programs; Analyzing and implementing agency requirements for asset management; Identifying and developing ways to resolve problems or cope with issues that directly affect the accomplishment of principal program goals and objectives; Providing information, alternatives and recommendations on current and long-range organizational plans pertaining to management and administrative procedures, operations program and financial management; Developing administrative regulations or guidelines for the conduct of program operations or new criteria for measuring program accomplishments;

Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS-12 grade levelif you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Managing a professional, technical, or administrative program or program segment that had local impact; Providing expert advice on program issues to officials within the agency; Reviewing and analyzing or disseminating sensitives national security data or information; Serving as liaison with high-ranking officials in other federal agencies and managers; NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible.
