About the Position: This position is located in Fort Moore Georgia, Facilities Division Operations.

Duties

Manage service order calls, and determining priority. Maintain a comprehensive facility operations program. Establish a budget to support the assigned facilities operations, maintenance, and repair plans. Develop a comprehensive program that includes maintenance and repair, custodial and grounds maintenance. Utilize various types of software applications to assist in tracking maintenance. Evaluate facility operation program effectiveness that includes maintenance, custodial services and grounds maintenance. Conduct technical briefings and presentations clearly and concisely to groups and individuals. Assist facility engineer with analysis of facility space management. Assists Regional Operations Chief by leading a team of Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist in managing effective Facility Operations within assigned communities/district.

Requirements

  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Direct deposit of pay is required.
  • One year trial or probationary period may be required.
  • Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
  • This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation.
  • This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: U.S. Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes evaluating the conditions of facility components to determine maintenance needs, custodial services, or grounds maintenance; monitoring budget expenditures for facility projects; and managing service order requests. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
