About the Position:
This position is located in Fort Moore Georgia, Facilities Division Operations.
All candidates should reside within the local commuting area where the position is located. Local commuting area is defined as the geographic area surrounding a work site that encompasses the localities where people live and reasonably can be expected to travel back and forth daily to work based on the generally held expectations of the local community. (5 CFR 575.203)
Duties
Manage service order calls, and determining priority.
Maintain a comprehensive facility operations program.
Establish a budget to support the assigned facilities operations, maintenance, and repair plans.
Develop a comprehensive program that includes maintenance and repair, custodial and grounds maintenance.
Utilize various types of software applications to assist in tracking maintenance.
Evaluate facility operation program effectiveness that includes maintenance, custodial services and grounds maintenance.
Conduct technical briefings and presentations clearly and concisely to groups and individuals.
Assist facility engineer with analysis of facility space management.
Assist Regional Operations Chief by leading a Team of Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist in managing effective facility operations within assigned communities/district.
Requirements
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

- One year trial or probationary period may be required.
- Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes evaluating the conditions of facility components to determine maintenance needs, custodial services, or grounds maintenance; monitoring budget expenditures for facility projects; and managing service order requests. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
